Atlee told that Deepika Padukone’s eyes seem to speak and are very expressive. That’s why in “Jawaan” he gave close-up shots to Deepika. ‘She has beautiful eyes,’ Atlee said. She tells the scene more through her eyes than through her dialogues.”

During the conversation, Atlee told that after working with Deepika Padukone in the film, he edited and revised many of her dialogues in the film because her faces can say a lot. Atlee also said that any director would be happy to get a chance to work with Deepika, as she is adept at making any scene as per any director’s wish.
Atlee also told that initially Shahrukh Khan had approached Deepika for the role of Aishwarya Rathore in ‘Jawaan’. He himself wanted to cast Deepika for this role and also talked to Shahrukh’s manager about this. When Deepika heard the story, she liked her role and work very much and said yes.
