US markets were hit by a surge in bond yields and heavy selling in tech stocks. The Nasdaq fell to a five-month low, losing 325 points, while the Dow lost a hundred points. GIFTnifty has fallen 85 points to 19050. Dow futures lost 65 points, while the Nikkei fell nearly 575 points.
The 10-year US bond yield has again jumped 15 basis points to near 5% after three days of softening. The dollar index is also strong around 106.50.
