If there’s one controversial statement that Friends fans will never forget, it’s ‘We were on a break’ between Jennifer Aniston‘s Rachel and David Schwimmer’s Ross. The iconic sitcom has a massive fan base, and one of the most famous topics from the show is when Ross and Rachel decide to take a break, and the rest, as they say, is history. A throwback tweet on the subject is going viral, in which a fan pitched their ‘break’ scene to chocolate brand KitKat, and netizens are reacting on social media to it. Scroll down to find out more.
Friends is one of the most famous television shows in history, and the cast includes Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, and Matt LeBlanc. It debuted in 1994, ran for more than a decade with ten seasons, and ended in 2004.
In response to the throwback tweet, a fan named Zoe Mendoza Hall wrote, “I want there to be a Kit-Kat commercial starring David Schwimmer where he looks at the camera and says, ‘Do you ever need a BREAK?'” And Jennifer Aniston happens to pass by and asks, ‘Really? ‘Are you still on this?’ and it ends with ‘WE WERE ON A BREAK’.”
Thirty AF shared a screenshot of the same tweet on their Instagram account; see it below:
Haha, we loved how KitKat was a gentleman and responded quickly to the fan. On social media, one user commented, “This needs to happen ASAP.”
“Zoe needs to be paaaaid if they do this,” another user said.
“This WOULD be a genius ad!!!” said a third.
A fourth person said, “Ohhhh please please haha this is too good.”
The comment section is hilarious, and we can’t stop picturing it in our heads, and it’s already a hit.
