Priyanka Chopra had come especially from London for the inaugural ceremony of the 10-day long MAMI Film Festival, in which many celebrities from the film industry were present. Hansal Mehta’s film The Buckingham Murders will inaugurate the festival. Several celebrities attended the launch of the event, which will run till November 5, at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Centre, Mumbai on Friday night. Priyanka Chopra is the chairperson of the film festival.
250 films and short films from 70 languages will be screened in the ten-day MAMI Film Festival. These films will be shown at eight places in Mumbai. Hansal Mehta’s Mehta film ‘The Buckingham Murders’ will inaugurate the festival. Kareena Kapoor plays the lead role in this film, which is based on a spy drama.
Aparna Sen’s ‘The Rapist’, Anurag Kashyap’s crime thriller ‘Kennedy’ starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Arjun Rampal and Varun Grover’s directorial ‘All India Rank’ starring Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhatt are included in the MAMI Film Festival. This year, Bradley Cooper’s ‘Maestro’ is also included in the international performances.

Apart from Priyanka Chopra, Ekta Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kamal Haasan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Shabana Azmi, Sonam Kapoor, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Karan Johar, Sanya Malhotra, Bhumi Pednekar, Rajkummar Rao, Vijay Varma, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh and Sunny Leone also attend MAMI Film Festival
