Actor Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan have been trying to make a film for some time now. In 2010, both of them worked together for the first time in the film Khatta Meetha. Akshay agreed to direct the film when he learned that a National Award winning director would be directing the film. Both have worked in hit films Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag and De Dana Dan. It is said that Priyadarshan is also a co-writer in a film. He met Akshay Kumar on the sets of the film Singham Again. Actually, Priyadarshan was busy with his Tamil film Appatha, which released on digital platforms in July.
This was the reason why Ekta told a story to Akshay. Priyadarshan then met Akshay who was shooting in Hyderabad. He liked the story very much. The script has been locked, now work will be done on the remaining preparations. The film will start rolling from September 2025. Priyadarshan also confirmed working with Akshay and Ekta in a horror comedy and said that he is very excited to make this film.
